The president of Charlie's Motor Mall is running what is now considered the largest new car dealer group in the state. He takes pride in superior customer satisfaction with the largest inventory of new and used cars available.
Charlie hasn't forgotten his small beginnings when he took his first job as an office clerk at the former Henry Kimball Co., a Dodge dealership, where he worked his way through other positions, before moving on to work for American Motors Jeep Corp. During those 17 years, he worked his way up, eventually becoming District Sales Manager for Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
In 1986, he and a partner opened Charlies Subaru in Augusta. Charlie bought him out after 5 years and continued buying more dealerships and his success has continued.
Charlie Shuman has built the company from a single franchise employing 17 people in 1986 to a 240-employee, 8-franchise company selling nearly 7,000 vehicles annually. Even though Charlie's has grown substantially, we still are a family run business with the same values and beliefs that started the organization 21 years ago.

Our Service Department
 We are equipped with 65 service bays with over 51 factory-trained service and collision center technicians. And the collision center is equipped with state of the art paint booths and frame straighteners.
Authorized Maine state inspection service. Shuttle Service is available when you are scheduled to have major service. We have 24 Hour emergency towing, an indoor service drive thru (for inclement weather) and a free car wash for Charlie's customers.
Shuttle Service
 Our Shuttle Service is available to all service customers from 7:30AM to 5:00PM, to any destination within 15 miles including your home, office, local mall, etc.
Amenities
 We offer to all out customers who utilize our service department a comfortable waiting room with TV, magazines, coffee and vending machines. We also offer 24 Hour Early Bird Night Drop Service. We accept all major credit cards for your convenience.
Qualifications
 Most of our service technicians are ASE certified and factor trained. Our service department utilizes State of the art diagnostic machines and computerized equipment. Additionally, we have a fully-stocked parts department to assist in fixing your vehicle right the first time.

 We at Charlie's feel that following recommended maintenance schedules will maximize your vehicle's performance. It reduces the chance of those unexpected and costly repairs. All normal maintenance and light repairs are discounted to very competitive levels, and follow all manufacturer recommended maintenance schedules. Written service estimates available upon request. (No charge for estimates if we perform repairs) We have state-of-the-art online service to help you reach most major insurance companies, insuring faster results and quicker turnaround time for repairs.
